Kristin is an Associate Attorney in Jones & Keller’s litigation section. Kristin’s practice focuses primarily on commercial litigation. She represents businesses and individuals in commercial cases involving a broad range of business disputes. Kristin is licensed to practice law in Colorado and California.
Prior to joining Jones & Keller, Kristin was a litigator at the Colorado Attorney General’s Office, in the Civil Litigation & Employment Law Section. As an Assistant Attorney General, she served as lead trial and appellate litigation counsel in defending civil actions brought against state agencies and employees. Kristin solely represented clients through all stages of litigation, including drafting and arguing dispositive motions, appearing regularly in court for all case proceedings, and managing her cases through settlement, trial, and appeal.
Before the Attorney General’s Office, Kristin served as a judicial law clerk to the Honorable Laurie A. Booras of the Colorado Court of Appeals, where she drafted published and unpublished opinions in a wide array of civil appeals.
Prior to that, Kristin served as a judicial law clerk to the Honorable Ruben B. Brooks of the United States District Court for the Southern District of California, where she managed the entire civil docket, drafted civil orders, and prepared the judge for, and attended, all civil trials, hearings, and settlement conferences.
Kristin graduated cum laude from California Western School of Law in San Diego, California. During law school, Kristin served as a judicial intern to a federal judge for two terms. She was selected to serve as the Honors Instructor for the legal research and writing courses. Kristin earned Dean’s Academic Achievement Awards for receiving the highest grade in multiple courses. She also worked as a certified law clerk at the Office of the Alternate Public Defender.
Kristin earned her undergraduate degree from the University of Colorado at Boulder with dual majors in Philosophy and Sociology, completing part of her coursework in Florence, Italy. Kristin subsequently worked as a newspaper journalist before attending law school.
